The founding of De.C.O., wanted and promoted by the Municipality of Moncrivello, has as its objective the protection and enhancement the local traditional agri-food activities with a view to economic, cultural and touristic development.
The founding of the De.C.O – Denominazione Comunale di Origine (Municipal Denomination of Origin) – wanted and promoted by the Municipality of Moncrivello has the ambitious goal of protecting and enhancing traditional local agri-food activities with a view to economic, cultural and touristic development. The initiative, which later became a reality in 2015, was born to protect the heritage of agri-food and gastronomic traditions typical of Moncrivello, by instituting a list of De.C.O products and producers.
The products that bear the De.CO. symbol, of are not only produced exclusively within the territory of the Municipality of Moncrivello, but must also be closely linked to the history and / or culture and / or local traditions: The Municipal Denomination of Origin can only be assigned to products and specialties that, according to local customs and traditions, are prepared with genuine and quality ingredients.
The festival of the Blueberry and Moncrivellese Excellences is held every year in early summer and offers the opportunity to taste De.CO. Kiwis, Figs, Table Grapes, fresh fruit, fresh pasta, snails and organic Blueberries and enter the world of local traditions through its antiquities and flavours.
